Dongguan Mini/Micro LED and automotive LED projects start construction

Recently, Dongguan City disclosed the progress of major projects. From January to November, Dongguan City completed an investment of 122.028 billion yuan in major projects, completing 93.9% of the annual investment task. 215 new major projects were started, and 97 major projects were completed and put into operation.

Among them, 10 projects including Mini/Micro LED and automotive LED chip patterned substrate industrialization and semiconductor substrate materials engineering technology research center projects were completed and put into production in November.

According to reports, the Mini/Micro LED and automotive LED chip patterned substrate industrialization and semiconductor substrate materials engineering technology research center project covers an area of about 60.00 acres, with a construction area of about 53,700 square meters. It mainly builds large-size semiconductor substrates. Materials R&D platform, Micro LED and other epitaxial chip verification research platform.

The project, with a total investment of 1.165 billion yuan, started construction in November this year and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2026.
