Recently, reporters learned from the Provincial Department of Education that so far 3,710 classrooms in public high schools across the province have completed the upgrade and renovation of indoor lighting and eye protection lamps, and 5,506 classrooms (functional rooms) in 167 public primary and secondary schools have completed the installation of air conditioners.

It is reported that at the beginning of this year, the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government listed the "Lighting Renovation of Ordinary High School Classrooms" project and the "Air Conditioning Configuration of Public Primary and Secondary Schools in the Province" project as practical matters for the private sector in 2023. Since the beginning of this year, schools across Hainan Province have reversed construction schedules, seized work hours, and accelerated the upgrading of classroom facilities.

So far, the "Lighting Renovation of Ordinary High School Classrooms" project has completed the upgrade and renovation of indoor lighting and eye protection lamps in 3,710 classrooms of public high schools across the province. Eight classrooms have been completed beyond the plan, achieving full coverage of the lighting renovation of classrooms in public middle schools across the province. At the same time, the "Air Conditioning Configuration of Public Primary and Secondary Schools in the Province" project has also been progressing smoothly. The installation of air conditioners in 5,506 classrooms (functional rooms) in 167 public primary and secondary schools has been completed, benefiting more than 100,000 students, and this year's task target has been completed ahead of schedule and exceeded.
