The New Delhi government plans to use LED street lamps to replace existing street light

In order to save energy and money, the Delhi government is considering using LED street lights instead of 1260 km within the jurisdiction of the city's existing PWD road lights.

They said that the existing street consume more power, bills are in lakhs dollars.

A government official said:" Currently, this section of the proposal for the installation of LED street lights have been developed shortly after the government will select a company by bidding to complete this project."

"Installing LED street lights on all PWD roads will help the government to save electricity. In addition, it also saves the government money." He continued.

The official said that this project is expected to be completed in about six months. Minister responsible for the electricity sector is also in favor of PWD Satyendar Jain install LED street lights. The proposal will soon be adopted.
