In order to ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles in Wangji Town, Suining County, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, the party committee and government of the town decided to implement the intersection “lighting” project, clarify the responsible units and responsible persons, and seize the time to light up the street lights before the Spring Festival.
The key lies in hard work and implementation. After completing preparations such as pre-embedding 30 foundation piles with high quality and quantity, the construction team started construction on December 20. During the construction of the lamp posts, it was raining and snowing continuously. However, in order to let the street lights light up one day earlier, the construction workers braved the wind and snow. Snow, overcoming adverse weather factors, all 30 street lights were installed in just two days.
“The street lights are on, the intersection is no longer dark, and the party and government have done another real good thing for the people.” Nowadays, street lights not only illuminate the way people travel, but also light up their hearts, effectively ensuring the travel safety of the surrounding people and winning their unanimous praise.
